Nice work on the cockpit, Paul! I wouldn't sweat the instrument panel. Unless you magnify the details it's hard to tell. And surprisingly the 1A- and 1D panels are fairly simple on the actual bird. Not even many buttons or placards.

Nice looking office Paul. The IP is quite deep set so it'll be fine as it is. As Ian says the seat will catch the eye, especially with all the chipping

Agree with the guys Paul.
Life is too short to worry about things that will hardly be visible, me reckons.

Agree with the guys Paul. Life is too short to worry about things that will hardly be visible, me reckons. I do agree but personally when things don’t go to plan I find it’s best to sleep on it and start afresh next day. So you put the fuselage on your 1/72 Airfix Mustang together and then later realise that you didn’t do the minor step of actually putting the IP in place at all. The next day solution was cut the decal out and then wedge it in place!

Almost forgot, nice progress so far and they’re really managed to capture the fine detail of the IP with that decal

Thank you chaps . Despite the IP ugliness I shall continue down this "easy build" road . Yesterday and today I have been dealing with the wings. Bugger me they area real PITA . The fit is less than good, especially if you join them up using the molded connection points. So I cut these off and set off down the road of hope and prey . I clamped the rear edges together and used a sanded down tooth pick to hold the wing halfs slightly apart, then I glued them stretch for stretch together. Thankfully this worked out quite well, then the next set of misfits raised their ugly heads . Not sure what these parts are, air intakes at a guess or radiators? Anyway they fit into the wing dihedral, or should fit in there . Here I widened the opening to get the parts in, then out came the filler. I used Vallejo acrylic putty for filling, I let dry for about 5 mins and then started sanding. The sanding process was quite rough and I am going to have to rescribe a few bits, but it does now look a lot better. Next up are the gun ports, the ft of these is even worse . More soon chaps

Paul, nice job on the work with the inter-cooler ducts! Your build is giving me flashbacks as I now remember the fit on these was not good, at all.

Why do they even put guide connections on the parts when they're not lining up ? Sometimes a kit behaves like a wild horse that needs to be tamed ! Luckily you are handy enough to get the job done, things look just fine Paul.
