With the SBD completed and the Voodoo getting close, it's time to start another plane project. I am going with the Meng 1/48th scale EA-18G Growler. I will be using the Furball Growler Anthology sheet and I will be building "Vader 500", the CAG jet from the "Star Warriors" of VAQ-209 out of Whidbey Island. This squadron has been officially sanctioned by Lucasfilm to carry the Darth Vader motif on their aircraft and this scheme has great Vader tail art. Stay tuned......   |

I got the cockpit started on the EA-18G. The tub is painted with Vallejo FS 36231 Dark Gull Grey and I also got the instrument panels detailed. I still have to add some buttons to the panels.   |

Beautiful cockpit again... did you use something like Tamiya clear green for those screens?

Thanks, Bert! Yes, I did. I brushed a base coat of Vallejo Aluminum on the screens. Then I applied a mixture of Tamiya Smoke and Tamiya Clear Green. And the buttons were done with Vallejo Sky Grey.
