As work on the F4U-7 moves closer to a conclussion I decided to look at what is next on the list. Another "Suez" stripy. Bit of tape to hold it together and we have one large fuselage. I think this one is going to be some fun. Might need a major paint re supply and a load of masking material, this is very large! Depending on how well this goes I might get another of these and do a silver bodied "suez" stripy.
Coming to a bench soon. Tim

That's a shelf killer---gets you with the wingspan AND the fuselage length.🤣🤣

That's a shelf killer---gets you with the wingspan AND the fuselage length.🤣🤣 Tell me about it, "Officer Home Command" is asking just where I am going to put this little lot!
I muttered something about a new display cabinet and the instant response was "and where do you think that can go?" Thought about it and came up with a plan...... Our bedroom was the thought, nothing but a bed in there..... on second thoughts!

After sitting in the cupboard whilst I plucked up the courage to wrestle with this one again, she is back on the bench. Managed to get the cockpit in and, once that is given a lick of paint, will be able to join the fuselage. Not many parts to this but major components are done, wings etc, so really, if you bring these together only the undercarriage to go. After which gallons of paint!
Cockpit area is all black, so with some drybrushing and little splodges of colour should soon be done. Also 2 bang seats to be coloured in, one of which will not be seen again when closed up, but onward and sideways. Tim

Nice to this see one surface again. Lovely upgrade set there, certainly better than the kits bare necessities

Nice to see this back on the bench, I've a soft spot for the Canberra as they were one of the jets that regularly flew over my house when I was a kid.

Very nice looking office 👍👍
And nose weight is sometimes difficult as they dont leave enough room forthat 🧐

Thanks for the comments chaps, much appreciated. So as not to end up with a tail sitter, much weight added. These are curtain weights that come in different sizes. As you can see, I was able to construct something around the front wheel well.
One last part in the cockpit, red lever for I know not what. Was missing from the kit but knocked one up all the same.
Joined the fuselage and then attached the wings. Stilll a work in progress but well pleased with the outcome.
Then time to cross fingers and hope that I didn't have a tail sitter....
Deep joy, just what I wanted. Now onwards and sideways to the primer\paint stage. More soon. Tim
