I see you use sprue when you haven't got a hole to use a cocktail stick, never noticed that before

Ian H, I am more confused than ever now . I shall go for the Middle Stone and Dark Green anyway . Ian R, yes you are correct there fella. I sharpen the sprue to a point, cut the point off and fix the sprue with a small drop glue to the rear of the part . Been doing that for years now

Looks like great detail on those interior parts. I might need one of these Italeri versions.

Joe, Jeff, Ian, cheers chaps . Ian, wait until you read this next update, I would certainly not buy another Italeri Hurricane . In 2016 I built the Italeri Typhoon, it was a fantastic build with great fit and ease of build. I thought back then that Italeri had finally hit the nail on the head, and were going to produce fantastic 48 scale kits from then on. Well, I thought wrong . After getting the office painted up and put together the trouble started. You get two decals in the kit, one for sticking straight on and be done with, the other is for behind a lovely piece of etched panel. Well I went the decal with etch panel first, the decal doesn't match up the panel, neither does the second decal. Also the IP panel hood cover match the panel, this needs to sanded to fit. When you fix the IP panel in place and dry fit the cockpit to the fuselage, wow, it's way to high and won't allow the fuselage halfs to join correctly. To fix this, you need to remove about 0.5mm from the IP hood and from the framework joining area also. The other non-fitting parts is the etched harness gear. These need to bent so that give you folded look otherwise they are way too wide and stand proud over the seat sides. Once all that is sorted you glue the office in place and join the fuselage together. A word of warning here, you need to glue the fuselage from the rear to front in short steps, otherwise it not match up at all. And even doing that there is still a gap above the fuel tank area and a small offset seam along the spine . Here's some pictures. Now then, let's see how the wings fit

Guy, Steve, thank you both kindly . It's just a bloody shame you have to find out the hard way, a beginner to this game would be gutted and probably give the hobby up after meeting such issues

Too true Paul. How many people returning to the hobby but a duff kit and give up?
Revell is pretty bad for this too. Their 1/32 Spitfire is good value for money but for the same money you get the dog awful 1/32 Corsair!
Italeri has some nice kits in their lineup but you need to read a lot of reviews to be sure of what you're getting for your cash.
At least Airfix call their old kits Vintage but their Starter Kits can be pretty poor too.

That’s a bummer Paul. The cockpit does look good though. If I remember correctly, Tamiya boxed this kit. I assume it was from the same moulds.

Joe, you are absolutely right there, beware of that one. Tamiya also re-boxed the M109 from Italeri, I found that out also the hard the way

Paul, beautiful work on the cockpit but you certainly had your hands full with this one. And on second thought, I have the Hasegawa Mk.1 Tropical in the stack. 😂😂😂😂

As he’d interacted with the dev’s one of the things he said was you could tell the difference between those that were modellers and those that weren’t. The only one I’ve built, the Mustang and that was very for £7!
