Nice red oxide John . Have you used the hairspray technique before? No, never. All the chipping was either with a very thin brush or different sized sponges

Okay, then I strongly advise that you practice on an old kit first. It's not getting the HS on that makes problems, it's getting the top paint layer off. Hairspray is very unpredictable, when you start wetting the top paint wait until it has really taken the water in. Also be patient with scrubbing, the top coat can start coming off nicely and then suddenly, you get great flakes coming off. I would also be careful with Vallejo and AK acrylics, the don't soften enough IMHO. Tamiya, Revell Aqua, and Hobby Color Aqueous all break down nicely.

John, You certainly have a stock of PIVโs there, so will definitely be into watching them all come together!! The primer looks great.
Paul what sort of issues did you have using the Vallejo & AK paints?
Cheers Mike

Paul what sort of issues did you have using the Vallejo & AK paints? Cheers Mike They didn't want to soak through like the the other paints I mentioned. What happened was the water somehow got underneath them, then they just broke up with big flakes.

Update ::
I think all the small detail on the top hull are covered, only missing the spare tracks.
Turret has the Red Primer coat, still waiting for the Hairspray coat.
Now I need to work on the suspension and wheels.

That looks bang tidy John Thanks Boots, the problems will be with those Dragon suspension bits if I remember correctly from my old Panzer IV Ausf.E 'Vorpanzer', but so far it's looking good.
