A little progress.
Front suspension dry fitted.I was concerned a bit as to how it would line up as I changed the assembly sequence to make painting and assembly easier.
Almost ready for the first paint application.
Later,Boys.

A bit of paint.
What a chore. Nooks,crannies,right side up,upside down,spin around.
First time I've sprayed the new-ish Tamiya lacquer. Thinned with Tammy yellow cap thinner. I liked it,I think. Laid down very well with no tip clogging, coverage was good, the only thing I didn't like was I used almost a complete bottle. BUT, there's always a lot of waste painting Frames and such.
Ever Onwards, Boys.

Thank you very much,Fella's. Needless to say,I'm going to have to get more paint.
Tommy : Yes,no primer. If I've done a bunch of sanding, filling and PE work,I'll use it. If not, then nope.

That's quite the chassis assembly, it's a kit on it's own.
Good to see some paint. Small tip: in the past I thinned my Tammi's also with the yellow cap bottle. But these days I thin it with Mr. Leveling Thinner, and I have a bottle of Tamiya Lacquer Thinner retarder type (orange cap). Basically it's the same as the Mr. Leveling Thinner. It's Tammi's lacquer thinner with some retarder added to it. Sprays even better ^^.

Thanks,Wouts.I was thinking the same thing the other day.😁 There's still a lot to go. It sounds like great minds think alike with the Tammy paint. 😎

Slogging forwards.
We have gone from this.
To this.
Things were going well until I tried to install the last truck assy. I couldn't get it to fit. Turns out the combined length of the driveshafts was about 1 MM too long.
So I cut the Shaft at the slip yoke and all the pressure was released.
I shall trim, re-attach and touch up along with a few other spots later.
Next,I thought I had misshapen Airbags. (painful by the way) as you can see. All of the bags were slanted on one end.
To make a long story short. They are made that way to fit the trailing arms.
So,marked the lowest point on each, slipped them in place, lined them up and Bob's your Uncle.
That's it for now,Mucka's
