Thanks guys. VMS decal softener worked very well. Now had a VMS varnish so you will see this again in a couple of days.

Tommy, I had some issues when putting the body on the chassis. There are 2 holes on the front of the body, to fit the chassis, you also need to pull the body by the sides to make it fit, I tried on mine, I couldn't get it done. A friend recommended to heat up the chassis a little bit to make it easier, but I still haven't tried it.
Yours is looking great so far. Mine is from the Montecarlo Rally, but with the same drivers as yours.

I did it nito74. It was not difficult. I pushed the front in, gently pulled the sides apart and eased it in, then pulled the rear to get the rear pins to fit. The most difficult part was aligning the door covers on the inside. And now with most of the bits attached. Need the dirt to cover up all the mistakes.

Thanks armorguy and Boots. VMS pigments with wetFX binder had got me to pretty similar to the box photo.
And now with a burnt umber wash. I will see how it looks once dried before deciding on the next step.
