Much appreciated kind fellows . I got the primer on before the last weekend, and today got a coat of Tamiya XF60 mixed with some XF55. After that had dried for 30mins, i added some more XF55 to the mix and added the highlights . The tracks got a mix of XF1 black and XF9 hull red, after those had dried I went over with Mig track wash. Tomorrow will a coat of gloss , and after that a I'm gonna try and the camo using oils . That's the secret bit about the painting. When I do and, if it pulls off to how I want it too , I describe how I did it . See you later chaps

Top notch mate! With all the brands of paint we now have on the market Tamiya still reigns high, and with that finish you can see why!

Many thanks indeed Vlad . And how right you are about Tamiya paints , they are IMHO the best. Second up would be Vallejo, then Mr Hobby acrylics .

Boots, Pete, Marco cheers fellas . Okay then, I started at 16:30 this afternoon with a coat of VMS gloss , which dried in about 15mins . Then I went and did my washing, came back and started with the oilage, which ended about 30 mins ago. The look I'm going to try to achieve is a faded and scuffed camouflage scheme, of reseda green with some red brown parts thrown in. I started off with Olive green and Naples yellow red mixed 50/50, this was added in dots over the hull. I then dragged this around with a dampened rounded brush, until the faded look came through. After that I waited about 30 minutes and went back to remove some more, using the same brush and very small circulating movements. Then I added the Burnt Sienna in exactly the same way. The difference to AB camo is this, I can now still change the colour, move it about, add scratches which show the real base coat and soften it up where I wish . Right then here's some pics of the base camo as it now stands, this will however change tomorrow if dry enough . As always AC&CW .

Guy, Boots, Pete, cheers muckers . This is more time consuming that is for sure, but I reckon it's worth the effort . It has a totally different look compared to airbrushed camo. I might have gotten a better effect over a matt surface, will try that next time . Anyway here's todays bitz for ya, tow-rope, tools, tracks, tyres . The oil paint is almost completely dry, so tomorrow I'll seal it in . It's then full stop as I haven't yet received the Archer transfers I ordered .
