Cheers Prof.....i`ll certainly look into somat when funds hopefully pick up, i have had a look at those Airix ones coz i remember you building your masterpiece.... So thats me, Dicky and now Marco getting tempted with the quart scale.....see what yav started!! Lol, don't blame me, I've been a convert for years. Since Tamiya released their first ones Ive been hooked, up until then it was a case of hunting through job lots at shows looking for the odd Bandai kit and then paying through the nose. I just find the scale a really convenient size, the Abrams is the biggest I've built and comes in a shade over 200mm long, on the other hand, the Panzer 38T is little bigger than a 1/72 Tiger! Detail is just fine if you're not looking for absolute replication, you can always add to it, the scale allowing you to do that. Haven't come across a single kit where it didn't pretty much fall together, the aforementioned Cromwell being the only exception but even that can be saved with a little shimming with plastic card. Forgot to mention two other manufacturers... Bronco Only do Staghound armoured cars in a couple of variants but they are really nice. ARII Only appear to do 8 wheel SCUD launchers in three or four variants. and Patriot Missile Launch Systems. Great subjects if a little difficult to find, not brilliantly detailed but if one is your thing, detailing it up would be a hoot. Very simplified suspension with metal axles, vinyl tyres.

Chaps. Paint is underway. Upper hull is dry fit and the wheels are held on with white glue...just in case.

If it`s somat ya fancy doing then let me know....the Engineering GB will be set for Jan- end of March so this could follow. I`m proposing sticking to 4 GB`s a year..........that way everybody gets 3 months, also by limiting it alleviates the problem of trying to partake in 10 GB`s and not finishing any of `em.

Chaps. My lack of appearance is twofold, family issues and trying to finish this off, at least I achieved something on the latter! Usual steps taken, washes, filters blah blah, stowage painted and small shooty bits added. Aerials are from a Decorators paintbrush. Had a small issue with some of the decals silvering a little but not too much of a worry. Neat little kit, handy aftermarket stowage set already available, everything fits really well, recommended. That's it, apologies if the images are a bit dark, decent natural light is hard to come by this time of the year. ACW, bear in mind I don't do Armour.
