Incoming! So I got some more work done on this one. I went ahead and worked up the side-skirt supports and skirt panels. They are each one solid piece but I scribed the skirts seams to infer they are made of smaller panels. I then took some needlenose pliers bent back and forth the panels to distress them. The mounts are just styrene strips. The skirts will extend a bit above the guards to give a little stowage area . I also worked up the basics of replacement covers for the center HVSS units.
I made a rear hull stowage basket. The turret bustle is three layers of foam core sandwiched between some sheet styrene. I plan on adding sheet styrene to the side and rear. Then I'll sand the edges and give the surfaces some texture.
I still need to work up a mantlet cover, add the lights, loader's MG, add bolts to the skirts....and tidy up.

A quick update.
She's assembled enough for paint....

...so she's gotten her paint on. Slapped the side skirts on and repainted the road-wheels. You can get a better idea of how she's going to look.
I'll try to finish this one up in the next few days.

Very cool! Always wondered what an M-4 would look like with skirts.

Well...it's been a wee bit since I updated this one.
The T23 turret with the 90mm gun and rear extension...well it looked bit funny. I think it was too narrow for the hull....especially with the side skirts. So I decided to go with a T26 turret from the old Dragon T26 Patton kit. The T26 turret shares the same size turret ring as the T23 turret. With the side skirts I think the hull looks larger and not as "turret-heavy" as a standard M4a3 w/ the T26 turret.
Anyway, I gave it a light weathering and will probably do some thing along the lines of what-if 1946 scenario...maybe some thing along the lines of Operation Unimaginable. Or maybe a 1950s era what-if Soviet incursion in to Alaska inspired by Ice Station Zebra. I've got a set of Dragon Bastogne troops, a few other cold weather US infantry, and a 10th Mt Div figure set that could work. We'll see what 2021 brings.

Love the conversion, Alex! Put her in neutral and let that 90mm fly.
