Here we go then, the box is open! Rear main fuse goes together on the first stage, front fuse just dry fitted for now to make sure the rear is in the right place 6 part seat and cockpit given a wash coat of very dark grey to prime and deepen detail . Loads more to do here! very enjoyable so far

Okay chaps, I have been doing a little more on the lovely top of the range kit today . I got the office chair and room painted up, and then added the perfect fitting dial decal . There are also no seat belts so I made some up using Tamiya tape painted with a leather colour . I also trimmed the decal so that it looks a little better Next is going to be a quick dry brush with aluminium and then to stick this little gem into the fuselage .

Boots I don't think you have ever spoken truer words , I'll take the "barking mad" . Jeff thankyou very much sir . Here's todays barking mad attempts to make this look, at least a little, like the real thing . The fuselage nose was filled with .177 air rifle pellets , I certainly don't want a tail sitter here . The fuselage was then joined, scraped and sanded . I then moved onto the wings and the engines , the wings weren't too bad, but the engines are crap to say the least . There is no innards that resemble the real thing, just ugly big inlets and the worst landing gear bays I have ever seen . The only sensible thing to do, will be to add the dirt/bird protection covers to the inlets and outlets. Off to see what the canopy looks like now , I might need a tarp over that too at this rate

Hang with it, Paul. You're doing fine. This kit is in very capable hands.

Cheers Jeffers, I have already added the covers , the canopy had a good scrub in warm soapy water and has now been dipped in Humbrol Clear . Will see what it looks like tomorrow
