Would a gentle wipe with a q-tip/cotton bud and a tiny bit of ISO remove it mucker............i think if you can get the darker layers off any slight staining would not be noticeable under the green any way.........if they dull a bit you could always leave them in some `Future` or such like the same as you would an aircraft canopy and then layer the green .........probably teaching ya to suck eggs but thats what i would try.......if it goes `Pete Tong` then you could always get some clear plasticard/acetate etc and use them as templates and make as many as ya dam well like

'Smudge, Guy. Thanks, Lads. It's been a very nice kit to build so far. Boots, funny you should mention that. Yesterday morning I tried some IPA on a Bud. It didn't really work that well if at all so I stopped. Fast forward to last night. Remembering that I had cleaned my AB with Original Windex,'cause nothing else worked I tried that with a Cotton Bud and it seemed to work. Ended up soaking the parts in Windex for about 30 minutes. That removed 98% of it. Interestingly, the spot that I tried the IPA on was still stuck fast. More soaking and some scrubbing with a soft Toothbrush finally removed it. So back to clear.
Paul and Boots. Thank you for the color suggestions but I don't have any Humbrol paint at all nor do I have any Tammy clear colors. I'll have to mess around and see what I can come up with.
Later.

Thank you my Brazilian Brother. I am a lot happier with the windows now. They came out well, I think. After trying a bunch of things I ended up using Tamiya's X-5 green reduced 10 to 1 with X20A. Light coats letting each coat dry before spraying the next. Until I was happy with the color.
Ta-Da.
Decision time as far as paint goes.
Which one, Lads?
Speak now or forever hold your peace.

Great save indeed Jeffers, the glazing looks ace to me now . As for the colours, well the sand yellow one would look excellent with all the pre-shading and weathering showing . But you know by now what we are like on here , someone is gonna say tri-cam just to see the masking

Indeed nice work on the glazing, colour wise both are equally attractive but I like the desert colours personally

Paul, yes I certainly do know. (rofl)If I was to do the camo, I'd probably brush it. So no masking for you. Boots, how did I know? So does that mean you like the desert colors? Guy, took me a bit but I think I got it now. Thanks. Pete, thank you also. So the poll stands at. Tri Cam. 0 Desert. 2 maybe three, if I can get a straight answer from a certain pair of foot dressings.
