Guess what!! Pzzzzzz Grey is on.....eventually!! , but, boy did i have AB issues , i was that close to feckin` launching my Iawata , don`t do angry normally but on this occasion......i did!! I added some flow improver into the pre-shade mix, started spraying and after about 30 seconds it clogged up and was intermittent.......when i looked there was like a mass of gooey paint in the bottom of the cup . I thought maybe i mixed in a dirty jar or somat and i`d picked up some crap off it........so i had to strip it back during mid session prior to doing the Grey..........it ferkin` did it again.....TWICE MORE!!!!, this time tho i had added 1 drop to the cup instead of the mixing jar so it must not like Tam paints then Anyhoo........got it done in the end, i `ll strip the AB right down and run it thru the U/S cleaner ready for tweekin` me base colour, i got planty of blocking in with the wheels and tracks so it ain`t no rush..........told ya i`d be back to normal speed once i got to paint Ta chaps.........more `erm soon

YAY we have more grey Bummer on the paint issues, but doesn't seem to have caused any issues in the finish.

I'll agree. What are you using for retarder, Bub? I've been messing around with Tamiya's Retarder a bit. The results look promising.

Paul..........cheers mucker Vlad...the finish is nice and smooth i have to say, if would spray on like that properly i`d love it, 3 attempts just ain`t good `nuff Jeff....it`s the Vallejo flow improver, the finish is nice but the application was aweful .....maybe i`ll go looksee at the Tam stuff for Tam paint and leave the Vallejo for it`s own paint

It's funny. I've had good results mixing almost everything together EXCEPT Vallejo and Tamiya stuff. Takes a minute but it always turns to goo.

nice grey mate even with the issues. What are you using for thinner? I've never had a problem with tamiya or using vallejo retarder so maybe the airbrush needs a bit of a deep clean? What model have you got, it might be worth checking the teflon washer.

Thanks Robbo Pete.....my AB is stripped and deep cleaned in the U/S cleaner after every use.....i use ISO as my thinner and never have any issues, added a drop of the flow doo dah and at the bottom of the paint cup was a sticky residue........tried it again without the improver and all was fine More done on this but i`ll sticks some WIP pics up tomoz

Interesting, perhaps the retarder reacted with the ISO. I only use mr color thinners and don't have a problem so I would suspect that's the issue
