Looking good there Tim and it piqued my interest as to why the yellow stripe on the front of the wing. A quick google suggests it was for identification of friendly vs. foe. Can any confirm this as I thought that at distances aircraft engaged you wouldn’t be able to make that out?

It was mandated for the RAF Day Fighter scheme to include yellow leading edges, a Sky Type S band on the fuselage and in most cases Sky Type S spinners for identification purposes. I think the rationale was quick identification in close contact head-on passes.
Regards,
Ian

Gloss coat on and another suprise. The colour tone has changed and looks much more together. Now I need to let it cure before hitting the decals, which should be tomorrow evening I hope. Onwards and...... to the finish line. Tim
