Miniart and Takom released their 55's long after Tamyia, how are they ?
Keeping it honest, I won't compare any with the old Trumpeter kit. Besides I build one, well two, since it was split with a HB Leopard kit, Leo hull + T55 Turret and then a T55 hull with a Leo turret.
Anyway but to this little project, I have other version from both Takom and Miniart but these were closer (big stash, lots of boxes...) so yes, a lazy choice.
So here they are :
One of the Tamyia will get an update :
The other a few extras.

John I have built both the Tamiya T55-A and the Miniart T54-1  . All I shall say is, Tamiya is what you expect and Miniart isn't for the fainthearted  . Are you going to build all of those next to each other  ? I advise against that, you'll go mad otherwise  . Start with Miniart, then Takom and Tamiya, you'll certainly keep your sanity that way |

I have built the Takom T-55 and it is a beautiful kit. The only downside is the instructions as they tend to be a little confusing.

I`ve done 2 of the Tam 55`s and i loved `em .........i lowered the suspension on both of mine to give them that squat well used look |
