Well I started the first masking stage yesterday , and then today I discovered I haven't got enough paint . Gonna have a rethink and see if I can mix something up from Tamiya

Story of my life running out of paint, that's why at the start of a build I now check I've actually got what I need!

Yeah sure, Pete's the only sensible one on here . Well I managed to mix up some Tamiya paints, which have in fact given the same colour as the Mr. Hobby H79 Sandy yellow I ran out of. I might, if you all behave yourselves (fat chance of that) , get some pics up later

Okay mushties, as you usually all do behave here's 3 pics of about 8 hours work . I have decided on the 3 tone desert colour, but as mentioned earlier with a twist . I'm going the Digi-cam route Yes it's total madness I know, but there has been too much talking about this on the site, so I decided to be the first to have a crack at it . The first part of masking over the black primer wasn't too bad , the second part is madness pure. I have been adding these little squares and oblongs since 14:00 this afternoon, now I think I'm done . But that isn't the end of the story, not by far. After I get the light green and light brown on the masking will continue so that I can get a final covering of Sandy yellow on . Time for a Whisky now me thinks . I forgot to photo the whole tank at this stage, but this'll give you rough idea . Then I started with the H79 Sandy yellow last night and ran out . I could have sworn I had 2 bottles . Anyway this morning I mixed up some Tammy Buff and Deck tan, surprisingly I got exactly the same colour as the Mr.Hobby H79 . I hope to get the green and brown on tomorrow, and mask that digitally on Tuesday, then on Wednesday I hope to spray on the final Sand colour . Well that's the plan anyway. As always ACACW.

Paul, great concept and can't wait to see you execute this scheme. Laphroaig helps with digi-cam masking----right?🤣🤣 This gonna be 7th Pz. Div. on peacekeeping duties in Azerbaijan, 2021?
Best wishes,
Ian
