Had this kit in my stash for many a year . At one time I was really into German and U.S. WW II tanks but over time I moved on to more modern tanks . Back to the past .Recently I went digging thru the the stash And came across the Tamiya King Tiger and some other nice AM tracks and gun barrel to fit this kit . This kit still has some good detail for its age . Friul tracks . These things are heavy . A time consumer to build but realistic . I think some of the plastic AM tracks are pretty good also . I see Tamiya has the plastic tracks for the King Tiger available . And an RB barrel . A nice piece . It was not difficult to fit this into the plastic kit gun barrel receiver part. Thats it for this update chaps . I'm fitting the hull and turret together now and so some update soon .

Hi chaps and thanks . This is definitely a better fitting kit than the Dragon Panzer IV . I used the Tamiya zimmerit tape made for this kit . I've tried other methods but this is by far much easier to use . Will see how it looks under paint . I glued this square nut inside the turret to ofset the weight of the gun barrel . The only problem I had with the tape was that it was a 1/16th inch short on the right side rear of the turret . I used putty to simulate the zimm in the gap .

Nice Carl, that zimm looks to be a pretty easy thing to apply, is it self adhesive?

Pete i'll get a picture posted of the sheet it comes on . Yes it has an adhesive on the back . I pulled it back off the model when things didnt line up but it still sticks well .
