John, they don't white for sure. I think matt aluminium is the best choice. No white for sure. that will be my choice matt aluminium. too bad that the plastic missiles don't have the detail we see in those photos...

And they don't white because you can see tiny white stripes in one of the pics.

I'd say aluminium also. As for the details, well the white stuff is always good for that

Did 2 missiles this evening. Good details, after seeing the parts cleaned, much better than I expected. Just need to add some fins and then I will take some photos.

Thanks Marco ! Now there are a lot of small details to take care, wheel bay details, small antennas,etc... Yesterday I lost 2 very small parts for one of the missiles, they were 2 very small plastic ( maybe 2 mm) that flew away, just like 2 real missiles. never saw them again.

Impossible to make it in white plastic? Or are they so tiny that won't be any difference on final result?

Yup, I'm guessing not much difference in the end but I'll try not to loose those parts on the other 3 missiles and will decide later on... :: Also, having 4 missiles, 2 of them so near to the wheels, there isn't much visibility.. I'm already trying to go the easy way here ::

Oi, we don't do anything the easy way . Mud, dirt and crusty dust are very difficult to reproduce . John those wizzbangs look very nice as they are fella , if you don't need the added detail then leave it off , I'm sure no one here will prosecute you that .

Since the Mig-25 RBT is a Recon version, and was moved to another thread, this one has the Su-9 and will be joined shortly by some other aircraft. I've been painting the Su-9, but I'm not liking it. Anyway, canopy is masked and painted, missiles are painted too. Since it fell on the ground there's something rattling inside the fuselage, flaps are falling all the time, anyway. but it stands on all 3 wheels. Soon to be here...
