Jeff,Chris,Boots,Guy.......many thanks for the positives heres a couple of pics to show progress, slow progress!!!! I decided to make this damaged repairable Albatros. fuselage panels have been replaced due to battle damage and more to go.the tail will be uncovered. I had a bit of a dig a weathering the chequers......hmmm jury's out on that one. still onward and sideways as someone used to say..........

Paul ,Boots Vlad and Dick......cheers chaps!!!!!! having problems getting the ply to conform to the shape of the rear end of the fuselage and almost glided the wooden annoyance across the room  .......... restrained myself and managed to get it in the end.now to narrow the elevator cos I stupidly copied the kit part when I made my own and its too wide!!!!!! I will prevail!! bill |

How are you forming the curves? Steaming the ply? How do you fix it? How thick is it? Is this enough questions? Why are we here? Who are we? Why are we?

now then Dick. the ply is cut to shape and then dunked in boiling water. left to simmer for 10 minutes or until the sauce thickens, then test fitted in case expansion during immersion has screwed the fit. A dry off and a bead of super glue on one edge to hold in place. the moisture cures the sg immediately, bend to conform with the curve and glue from the inside where possible. as the skin advances it becomes 'arder and 'arder to get at the inside. thickness is .5 mm.
now to the rest of your questions .................do you mean why are we, the forum members here, as in what purpose do we serve, what forces brought us together in some mystical way cos if you do you've been taking something. As for the other questions.......you have been taking/snorting /imbibing/ mainlining somemink that maybe we all should have a taste of!!!!!!!
on the other hand we all gravitate from one part of the forum world to another and all seem to meet up again so maybe there is a hidden force that makes us migrate, drift apart then come back together again. we seem to lose one or two along the way but then they arrive a little later!!!!!! been happening for years now
