Paul I thought that you must have remembered a post I put on one of the 'forums from the past' It doesn't appear with any other thinners I have, turps etc., just this stuff I picked up from Aldi, Baufix is the name. What did you use to get this effect? bill

I just thinned the Revell AB Gloss with Revell paint enamel thinner and sprayed through afore mentioned Airbrush. If the nozzle of the AB isn't in the center flow controller (? ? ), you get the candyfloss effect and it is very annoying when first witnessed . AB with offset nozzle: Once the nozzle is in the center again she sprays normally. Edit: Normal coloured enamels are not affected by this, only the gloss and as you say the Matte.

Dick many thankyous mate!!!! Got some weathering done, got some wheelage added and undercart struttage fitted. added a little green mould stuff, may leave it, may not . got to get some model flying aircraft tissue and some dope, love that smell!!!! then decide how to proceed with the wings. Cattle-trucked or restored, no idea yet!!!!! The rudder is supposed to be at that jaunty angle before anyone asks. The tail plane is more heavily weathered than it appears here....honest!!!!! as ever thanks for stopping by. bill
