Hi guys! If you read the post about my absense, you probably know that I even tryed to paint this little fella, but it was one of the motives of my lack of mojo in the last weeks. So, some images of the build process. This kit has the Meng's standart very good engennering and is easy and fast to build. I loved to build it! Box Parts Some build I posted it here because I'll do a WWII RAF vehicle (1920 pattern with big tires) At the beggining, I tought abou paint it in caunter scheme, but I failed in many ways - I'll post some pics here. And after that, I turned my attention to a plain desert yellow paint with a big RAF roundel in the top of the turret. Hope you like! ACC&?W

The build looks awesome Marco . The Caunter acmo scheme is a very difficult one to get right, I tried also and failed misserably on a Crusader MkIII . Your plan B paint job sounds like a good alternative though

Nice start to an interesting build. Will look the bee's knees when finished. Little fun fact: from what I learned we Belgians 'invented' the concept of the armoured car, the Brits soon used the idea as well resulting in this one for instance.

THanks a lot Woulter, both for the kind words and the fun fact!

Looking great Marco. I commend you for even trying a counter scheme; it's one thing I have avidly stayed away from! This does look like an attractive, well-balanced little car. If I can find one in 1/72 scale, I'll give it a go.

THanks a lot Mark! But when you see the pics you'll understand why I quit the caunter. But the car is lovely!

Well, I'm affraid to show this for you, but as I'm a brave man, here we go: My attempt to paint the caunter scheme (colors are terrible, as the mask work ) In those pics you can see that I change the turret front part and the radiator armor plates in the main hull front. That was necessary to let me paint it in another RAF scheme, that looks much better: I painted the large rondel with mask. It won't be a show stopper for sure, but now I'm liking it. Hope you like too! ACC&?W

I was sooooooo tempted to start singing `Heard it thru the grapevine` when i saw the FOW article was by James Brown but i resisted I`ve done the Caunter scheme and she is a tricky little sucker to pull off........`specially if ya got loads of shapes to negotiate. Looks blurdy good Marco

Paul, thanks a lot for the links! Amazing both of them. And, yes, I'll dirt and scratch the roundel. Imagine the sand and wind blurring all the paint....
Boots, thank you mate!

Brilliant work Marco. I do commend you on trying the caunter scheme. I haven't ever tried it myself, knowing how difficult it is to do; especially in my scale. The new scheme looks excellent! Looking forward to seeing more.
