Good progress Mack, I must admit that tracks are a real turn off for me but you’ve got them sorted buddy! I was talking to the guy in my local model shop and he said he'd heard that indi links where maybe on the way out and more company's where looking at link and length and better rubber band tracks. Could be interesting to see if he's right. It’d be a good move for me! Even modern AFVs are being tested with full rubber/ steel band type tracks. They are more expensive but last longer, take less maintenance, are quieter and take a lot more battle damage.

I must admit I like indy track links . But they have to be simple, like Dragon Magic Tracks, Friul, Easy Metal Links, Master Club...... I will never understand why a track link has to be made up of three to four parts, this what keeps putting off buying many of the newer kits from Meng, Rye Field and co. Steve, JKB has been a tanker for many years. If there is one thing he doesn't like, it's the steel framed rubber tracks. In Greece they just do not hold up to the ground, where as the good ole steel track does. The new rubber thingies might be okay for northern European use, but I can't imagine them holding out in the harsh desert or rockier regions of the world.
