Well I added the green to the camo scheme on the Jagdpanther. I initially was going to use AK Nato Green but I encountered a unique problem, the AK paint refused to be sprayed with an airbrush. I never had this problem with AK paints before but it sprayed on like spackle. I tried Distilled Water, AK Thinner and Tamiya Thinner but to no avail so I believe it is a bad batch. Nonetheless, it was Vallejo to the rescue. I used Vallejo FS34159 SAC Bomber Green from the FB-111 project and it sprayed on perfectly and was just the shade I was looking for. I think I will work on the wheels today. Regards, Ian

That is just right Mr.H . As for the AK stuff, well I had my problems with that too . In the end I used Humbrol acrylic clear gloss varnish to thin down and it worked a treat

Thanks, Paul. Very strange with the AK stuff because I sprayed my Bundeswehr M-48 with their Gelboliv Color and had no problems at all. I will try your Humbrol suggestion on my next AK application.

Ian

I love that camo buddy, it looks outstanding over the Zimm B)
there’s a theme on the AK too, I couldn’t make it work at all either. Tamiya for the AB and (new) Humbrol Acrylic for the brush are my preferred options now.

Thanks Steve! Yeah, that was a strange occurrence with the AK bottle. But at least the Tamiya and Vallejo laid down like glass.
Best wishes,
Ian
