Thanks guys, the colour is a bit patchy in places which I think is down to I choose not to prime the parts over concerns of getting the parts to fit afterwards. Yep I’ve had problems with that before and finding the track teeth wouldn’t fit inbetween the wheels. That was fun to rectify.

Wheels on sticks is where it’s at fella paint without primer eh? Will it stick or rub off? It’s just the wheels and as I’m really not going to be aggressive with the weathering, urban environment and all that, it should all be fine.

I’m surprised that no one has yet rebranded cocktail sticks as modeller sticks and then sold then for five times the price. The one I do remember was a letters sheet for labelling sprues. I’m all one for convince but what’s wrong with some masking tape and a pen? Anyway a bit more progress, wheels (with some dust added) on except the sprocket and idler which are a lose fit and I don’t want to glue them yet before adding metallic effects and fitting the tracks. I made a start on the bottom length of tracks so I’m now just waiting for the liquid glue to dry. The tracks where very easy to put together, less than ten minutes, but what I did notice is that most of the tracks have a small pip on one side of the inside face even though there’s quite a few where you can see it’s been removed. I decided the easiest way to remove them is wait until the tracks are set and then just gently sand them as a group so as to not muck around with each track individually.

Good idea with sanding the tracks as one, much easier that doing them separately . Looks like you're going to the Salisbury training area / Lulworth Cove ranges then, that's certainly a nice match for the southern dust
