With the Staghound wrapped up for now, I thought I’d turn my attention to something I’ve been meaning to do for a while... a Gunpla/Gundam build. I picked up a few Bandai kits, a couple of years ago, which have sat at the back of the stash waiting for me to pull my finger out.... Inspired by the Mig Jimenez books “In Combat” and “In Combat 2”, I’ve decided now is the time to remove my finger and put it to good use... Let the journey begin... There may already be an idea brewing.... I’m not sure yet...

Very nice! I've looked at Gundam kits in the past but never found one that I think is just perfect. I see Emodels have recently started stocking them.

I'll follow this one, Dude. I've been interested in these kits for a while. It will be cool to see one assembled and painted up.

I`m in What size are these Scale is 1/144 so the pilot is about 10-12mm, comparable to N guage

These kits are a mix of different plastics: hard, slightly softer and almost rubber. They are push fit, so can be assembled without glue, if you so choose. They are fully articulated and poseable, so the possibilities are endless. Construction was relatively straightforward, taking me about 2 1/2 hours from start to finish.... Gain torso & head... Limbs... Pelvis.... Click your fingers and what should appear? How about a bit of boogie...? I need a rest.... Well, what can I say?... I think I need to move, swift... We also have the option of a “cannon” and different hands... Next up, I’ll break it back down to main components and prep for paint including gluing some of the panels together...

Primed.... I’m not sure whether to paint it the original colours or something completely different... Any thoughts?

How about a mono chrome dazzle pattern? Like the ones you see on PT boats.....

Nice work, the colour looks good, so much better than the plastic colours that's for sure! Are you taking it to a battle worn or leaving it tidy?
