Thanks so much, guys! My HobbyBoss "Late King Tiger" after-market tracks arrived yesterday and they saved the day after the fiasco with the Dragon kit tracks. I installed them last night and they fit perfectly. No punch-marks and no clean-up required on them either. The instructions called for 90 per side but I only needed 89 and they matched up just right. I guess the math and dimensions just weren't there to make the Dragon tracks work. I will start on the hull now and get the tools and armor installed and begin work on the weathering there. Best wishes, Ian

Thanks, Boots! They were really nice and I have another late Tiger II in the stack so I am going to order another set. Can't beat $8.00.
Best wishes,
Ian

Lovely work Ian . To answer your question in my honest opinion, yes, have the tow ropes set up. I'd use G-clamps to get them on the towing shackles, but don't forget to add some kind of provisional attachment to the hull side or top. You're gonna have to keep the loose end hooked up somehow

Thanks, Paul! Thats what I will do then; one end hooked up on the shackle and the other end on a breakaway mount or something on the hull. I got to thinking; if the cables were secured like a regular Tiger II on the side of the hull the crew would have a helluva time trying to get them out from underneath the cage armor, especially if the '46 Red Army is shooting at them. Regards, Ian

Thanks, Boots! The hull is way behind the turret on the filter/weathering timeline because I got off schedule due to the issue with the tracks. I am going to try to make some headway on this next week.

Ian

Man that Tiger kicks @$$ ! The turret is a beautiful piece and it stands out nicely with the green shades of the hull.
