Last night i couldn't sleep, so i sort of opened a box and started building a kit. Honestly i can't really remember deciding it. Before i knew it, when i finally went to sleep sometime early in the morning i had almost build it. The very old, from the 60s, 1/32nd scale Revell P 51B Mustang, with the British canopy, aka Mustang III. Very few parts, bad fit in a few areas, nothing not to be expected from such an old kit. Overall an easy quick build. Filling and sanding were in order, nothing extreme. Some time later on today it will get primer. html upload image

Ok, we have paint. Now Gents i know this build is not up to the standards of most builds in here, but these kits are way too old and lacking in detail and fit. Most ppl sell this antique kits, they are over 50 years old.... , or just forget about them in their storage areas. I don't. I have them, so they will be built. I don't intend on waisting too much time, effort or materials on them. Just make fairly nice represantations of historic planes for my man cave's selves. That being said, (so noone will feel sick about bad writting good reviews on what would be a mediocore build at best here it is so far). Still needs a lot of work, but i think it looks like a P 51 so it must be one.

Yep! That definitely looks uber-Stang like fella - I like it....a lot! I plan a P51 at some stage - here's hopin' it ends up 1/2 as good

We buy these kits to build them at some point . There are many older kits out there that go together a tad on the tough side, but with a little KLT they as good as any new releases . This is no exception John, a darned fine job sir . Look forward to seeing her in person next year .
