Thanks for the info Bill, it confirms all that I’d suspected . Maybe good old fashion white stock is the answer until a gen2 powder printer can be bought for under £5K.
Boots, I know what you mean fella, the tech stuff of 3D printing is mind boggling!
Time to stop high jacking your thread and back to your build now Bill B)

Yes it is complicated and requires much measurement to be accurate. I prefer to make everything on a project but tracks have always been a problem, mostly because of the repetition. i dont mind making one or two parts which are the same but 270 track links was not happening!!!! if i can find files for sdkfz251d tracks that will be the next project.

for anyone who is interested here's the latest instalment of the saga!!! I have both drive sprockets made and both idler wheels. track guards are tacked in place to check they cover the tracks. All 5 turrets are now complete so next will be completion of the wheel stations and then the armour skirt support bracketry. After that there are a zillion bolts to fit...........or maybe 2 zillion!!!!!!!! bill

Cheers Steve!!! got a little behind schedule this week, real life gets in the way sometimes . I need to finish the wheel stations and when the beast is on its feet I can start adding the side skirt frames, after that the skirts and then the bolting will begin!!!!! 10 days was optimistic and for that I blame Paul for even mentioning a timescale bill
