Thanks guys and great video, Steve. Nothing like landing with a nose down attitude and then planting it on all four gears at one time. That was a beautiful landing!

Ian

Italeri has it in 1/72 scale. It's a rebox of the AMT kit from years ago. Not a bad kit but you can't drop the flaps and there is no built-in wing droop----wings stick straight out and does not look right without surgery. ModelCollect does one in 1/72 as well and it's supposed to be very nice but also expensive. And another company does a limited run BUFF IN 1/48th. It's some kind of resin or fiberglass fuselage and costs as much as my house payment.
Regards,
Ian

Monogram has the -D version in 1/72 scale while Modelcollect has the -D, -G, and -H versions also in 1/72 scale. Modelcollect had recently modified the molds for a couple of them since they were inaccurate and many people called them on it. They then released a "correction set" for those who'd already bought the inaccurate version; I believe they were sent free to those people. The Modelcollect versions are far more detailed than the old Monogram and AMT kits, hence the price. I hope someday to get me one.

That’s ridiculous! I’d group that with the 1/32 WWII four engine bombers currently in production , follies in every way The original Modelcollect B-52’s were very inaccurate as the parts were for mixed G & H types with not enough to make a single version. Plus they didn’t match the decals and neither matched the weapons. So you couldn’t make a single correct Buff OOTB. As Duke says, this has meant to be fixed but I’ve no idea of how you know which is the correct boxing as their website still shows the ALCM armed G without the wing root fairings fitted under the SALT II agreement and the G correction kit (the kit is an H nose and D tail in all boxing’s) is sold for $12. No correction kit for an H? To me it still looks like you can’t make a cruise missile Buff from their boxes? No kit has the parts or weapons for a dumb bomb armed kit either... shame

I worked on the wheel parts next for the BUFF. I got the "punch-craters" worked out on the gear bay doors and painted them with FS36118. I also worked on the eight wheels for the mains and they are painted and received their wash. I got the drop tanks on as well. I thought the flap wheels needed a slightly heavier wash so I went with some Pledge Floor Wax mixed with a few drops of Acryl Flat Black and that did the trick. Stay tuned....... Regards, Ian
