Belgian Leopard 1 29/09 All Done

Cheers fellas, I've been bashing away at this over the weekend and have been mostly improving some pretty poor revell parts and adding missing details. A case in point are the two short bins which don't have any bin lid lip detail at all. The long one does so that's more poor quality control from revell. Plastic card saves the day again!

Cheers chaps, today I've been working on the rear hull and updating/improving as I went. The biggest issue for me was the field telephone box which had some really vague detail so out came the plastic card and a better lid & details where added. The hull is pretty much done now with just the tow hooks, chains, bungs and bits to add. I'll do all that after sorting the tracks out, saves tears later when things go ping! Oh and I'm waiting on a new right hand light cluster as the leopard club update set I have only had two left side clusters. A quick email to them rectified the issue in record time.

Turret time now and here you can see the result of light sanding then Mr surfacer followed by more light sanding to even it all out. The mantlet has also been treated in the same way. 100% better than the heavily textured finish previously in evidence. The covers on the rangefinder housings where a mare to fit and needed plastic card to sort out. The kit smoke dischargers are way over scale so a rummage in the spares sorted out some resin ones. The discharger rail was adapted for the correct angles of the dischargers. There's not much to change on the turret so this should progress quickly.
