The Roc fighter was the one that interested me more but scarce as hens' teeth.

This will be great to watch. I do think that is one funky looking aircraft though. I'm looking forward to seeing your build.

It's more or less assembled, surprise surprise some parts don't fit too well. You know that awful pinging noise when a small part leaps from tweezers and clatters into another dimension? Just happened with an undercarriage strut.
If you wanna see nice Skuas, look on the Britmodeller site, a guy on there did this kit and a much better, more detailed one. Very nice indeed.

Don't say you're adding Zimmerit to it

Don't say you're adding Zimmerit to it Nooooooo............... The Skua and Roc might have benefitted from some a Zimmerit coating though. Demagnetize the incoming bullets. Best wishes, Ian

Priming next. Not a lot to it really. Filling gaps and sanding tricky as it has lots of rows of rivets moulded on. I was going to call it nondescript but the odd tail configuration disproves that.

Cheers chaps, I'm hoping a lick of paint and the decals will at least make it presentable.

Well, got it done: The ultimate disaster was when the decals dissolved in contact with water. Couldn't be a**** hunting up a replacement set with the attendant waiting around, so a search of the scrap bin and the 'net for illustrations turned up usable decals. The moral being if you must buy and build ancient kits - buy new decals for them. Leans more toward a sow's ear than a silk purse but never mind, eh?
