Nice office, will you leave the canopy open to show it off?

I think that is a fantastic cockpit; certainly better than I could do. Congrats on finally getting it beat into submission and have fun on your trip.

Cheers muckers . Ian, the cockpit glazing is so large you don't need to leave it open to see the detail, so I shall go with the closed up version . Saves a shed load of tricky masking too I have joined the fuselage up this evening, it needed a tad persuasion to join up . Now it needs a tad of clean up and some minimal filling also . That's it till maybe Monday evening when I get back from Belgium

Mind that detail doesn't get lost in your clean up.
Enjoy the weekend, I find more time to build at weekends

Glad to see some Famous Grouse got this one going again! Looks great. Definitely a lot to see in that cockpit with such an enormous canopy.
Best wishes,
Ian

Cheers chaps . After sorting out the wings with the help of my friend "Mr perfect putty" , I discovered that the cockpit glazing doesn't really join up either . Gonna have to give that a good think over . I'll save the pics of the glazing till later.

Good bit of work on the seams, hope the glazing isn't too tedious to get fitted

Ian, Pete, cheers fellas . The wing root joins weren't too bad, that perfect plastic putty is perfect for that sort of thing . The canopy however is going to be a tad more trying

Nice work on the wings Paul. About the glazing, I think you'll find a way and finish this Brazilian bird.

Good to see this one moving along Paul, nice work too B)
What’s the issue with the canopy?

Cheers Steve . the canopy was quite offset to the front glazing, which was also a tad fallen in which didn't make it line up with the fuselage. The front glazing I managed to pry apart to more or less the same width as the fuselage. That after sanding its connecting edge to the main canopy part. The main canopy part also had the leading edge sanded back to get a fit with the frontal part. Also I had to sand back the hinges of the main canopy to get it in line with the front glazing. There is of course a step on the hinges to the fuselage now, and a gap at the rear (that was there anyway) to sort out. Here's some dry fitted main canopy pics for you, the frontal glazing has been glued tight.
