Here’s tonight’s progress, donk has ha some paint and 1st wash. A bit more to do. The fuse is coming together and cockpit details all dirty as these WW1 aero engines leaked oil like sieves. I also want to paint up the kite to look well used from muddy fields

Steve, that is great work on the engine and cockpit details. Very, very realistic.
Best wishes,

Thanks for the great comments fellas B) I’m pushing ahead with DIY at the moment so progress here is slow, but as soon as I’m done in the house I’ll be back with a vengeance

Managed to grab 10 minutes to sling some rattle can primer at the little Fokker I experimented last night, I tried some Tamiya Buff paint thinned with 50/50 Tamy thinner and some flow enhancer .. the result was no strength to the colour and loads of fish eyes... live and learn. I’ll just use Tamy thinner for the proper colour. I’ll sort the blemished ready for paint when I finish the dreaded DIY this weekend

Can't see the fish eyes Steve, but the rest is certainly moving in the right direction

Applied and Tamiya Buff base coat, with a bit of modulation. Need to mask the frames and wing tapes before going for another colour B)

Very nice, Steve. I like the "streak back" shading on the wings. Really gives it a nice effect.
Best wishes,
Ian
