Cheers Ian Ok...in-between doing the Sherman and RR i`ve finally got to sorting the front canopy as best as poss, fit wasn`t great and omitting the groove for the gun sight was a big boo boo ......however i have got round it and she can now be primed , also dry fitted the finished donk and had a dabble at the prop.......the prop counterbalance weights will be added at the end

Just need to touch up the Blue a bit
Thanks folks

Cheers Mr M Ok.......Vallejo Model Air Aluminium coat on after primer, wheels and tyres done and the donk fitted plus the rear rudder, the canopy hasn`t come out as bad as i thought......especially after making my own tiny masks rather than buying them........i`ll leave this to dry a coupla days and plod on with one of the other builds
This is the first time i`ve used the Vallejo Air and i gotta say i`m ferkin` impressed by how well it went on.....

That did go on well! Nicely done Boots buddy B)
Is Vallejo one of the water based paints like LifeColor or is it close to Tamiya?

Thanks Pete and Steve.....i am chuffed with it i gotta say, probably one of my better metallic coats Steve...yes it`s a water based acrylic bud, to be honest iv`e only ever used Tamiya up until now and this sprayed the best Alu coat compared to the Tam one iv`e used before, it just seems a lot smoother IMHO .........like i said....i just mixed it with Flow improver rather than the thinners, i`ll see how other colours perform......just so`s i know it were`nt down to luck

Ok fellas....bit more paint I had to mask orfe the whole aircraft for one stripe......reason being i didn`t have a suitable Red, but i had a ferk off great tin of Sunburst Red from an old project..........in rattle-can!!, so with some delicate masking and a wing and a prayer that i don`t go too heavy i managed to get this .........worked like a charm, with some nice panel lines running downwards that helped in masking it straight with some 1mm tape .......i did the cowl as well but thats not finished yet.........i wanna let the Red fully cure for a day or so ..........wheel and tyres added as well.

Don`t like the look of those upper wing supports..........look a bit mis-shapen to me, maybe the wing locating holes will pull them into shape.....we`ll see
Thanks all

That red laid down very well by the looks of things Boots. I’m sure that you’ll be fine with the struts, just warm them gently if you need them to ‘give’

Steve...thanks bud, done a dry fit with the location points under the wing and all is well, although the slight mis-shape is there it all lines up into shape when properly seated..........no curved spars Ian....thanks fella Paul...Yeah i find Red can be a bit of a creeper under masking tape edges, i normally spray over the masking tape with the base colour but took a gamble with this one......i was certain a rattle-can pass to many was gonna flood the small area but thankfully it didn`t. I did run around the tape with a toothpick to make sure it was tightly sealed under the bigger tape ..........cheers mucker
