One of my old Nan's sayings. Probably the only one I could say online or in public now

That is really coming along nicely. I just love how the Achilles looks as that turret with a 17 pdr. in it is just sexy as hell. Great work, sir.
Best wishes,
Ian

I know what you mean about the turret, it reminds me of a sassy big ass lady with a bit of attitude. I'm still attaching some of the smaller details before coating with primer. But it's really a case of showing off my liquid glue stand as I hear say Paul has got a good one.

Snazzy glue pot holder . When I built my M10 in September, that is exactly how I prepared my turret to. I got all the bitz in there apart from the SMG and the main ammo, then painted and weathered the lot separately and then joined it all up. Tis a tad tricky, but certainly easier than trying to paint and weather in piece. Just remember to keep the gluing surfaces free of paint

Hi Lads, just a quick update to show I'm still about. I made a few mask so I could paint the road wheels. I've also given the lower hull a blow over. Hopefully, I'll get a bit more done tomorrow. Cheers, Joe.

Very nice Joe . That is something I must use more of, I usually end up using a hairy stick to paint the tires, and a scotch or two to help calm things down

Thanks lads, much appreciated. I painted the track. I'm happy enough with the rubber finish, but the metal finish doesn't look so good in the plastic. I'm gonna paint them again. This time I will use Ammo Mig Dark Tracks to see how that looks.
I need to paint the interior white next. A light blow over of paint to the hull top. Detail looking from below the turret.

Very nice Joe . I agree on the tracks, that colour is great for the polished effect on the teeth. But the rest would be a rusted dusty colour, I usually use a mix of Tamiya paints for this. Hull red, buff, dark yellow and or deck tan, this I mix until it looks right to my eye. I then thin it down and apply over a black or dark grey base

Great tip for the tracks. I'll give that a go if the other paint doesn't work out.
