I'm not sure it's the quality of the Italeri kits that puts people off John, in my case it's certainly the price of these Italeri kits WITH the resin interiors that seem to have sky-rocketed the cost. Their Abrams with interior is a fine kit but £50+? Nah, I'll take a Tamiya and some white stuff! Anyhoo this one s looking very good regardless and it's still mighty nice to see one being built

Looks ready for paint but some tricky masking is in order .

Paint is on. No masking was needed although a couple of hatches will need to be glued back on. It went rather well i think. I sprayed four different shades starting with dark grey and adding blue gray and radome tan progressively on every pass. What do you think guys? Paasche's Talon works really well when/if it works.... and that a big if. I'll need to find another airbrush soon. Hopefully it will be completely assembled tomorrow.

Nice build and awesome paint, John. What's the story with your Talon? I've got two that are pretty much bulletproof. Not had any problems with either.

Nice build and awesome paint, John. What's the story with your Talon? I've got two that are pretty much bulletproof. Not had any problems with either. Thanks Jeff. As for the Talon, it's exceptional in terms of spraying hairlines , free hand camo, etc... , very easy to clean, but the nozzle is very soft and needs to be changed quite often. The o ring at the front gets cut very often. As you know if any of the 2 happens the airbrush is next to useless. On top of these there is no supply of spare parts for them any more, the importer stopped bringing them. To get them from ebay is next to a joke, the spare parts are usually way too expensive and if i get them outside the EU there is 29% TAX on the combined purchase and shipping price. So as you can see, unfortunately, i simply cannot maintain this one as my primary tool... I am thinking about getting a Harder and Steinbeck, but they are not sold here as well, and they cost too much to trust a purchase through internet.

Sharp as a tack, John. Very well done. As to your Airbrush issue, sounds like you're in a tough spot. Have you checked out Iwata? They are a pretty penny but are very good ABs.
