The model has now had a couple of light filters and a basic pin wash. More to come here and i've also made up some maneuver boards that I've seen these tanks with in my refs. They add a nice splash of colour I think.

Cheers guys, Steve, to be honest mate they are not too bad. And besides I've had a bit of practice with them on my previous JGSDF builds. On to the model and yesterday I finished off by spraying some thinned tamiya buff around the lower sections building up some nice dust effects on the skirts. In real life these really do keep an awful lot of dust and mud down and reduce the dust etc on the rest of the hull so I tried to replicate that here.

Matt varnish went on next and then last night I started on the lights and tracks. Which by the way are the only things to see pigment on this. I'll give them a brush to remove access pigments later then add some wear to them before fitting and adding the upper hull.

All finished! I used the translucent film sullied in the DEF set for the periscopes and this worked really well. Finished off with some carbon fibre antennas and she's all done. I will put the model on a small base later when I work on the base for the Mk IV male tank. That way I can reduce the mess and repetition on the bench. More pics in the gallery.
