Tamiya Space Shuttle Atlantis

Finally got back to this over the last couple of days and have now finished the cockpit. Now I can fit the front windscreen, cockpit and rear bulkhead and get on with priming the beast!

Looks outstanding. I used a lot of white on my 1/72 scale Shuttle, so I know what you mean. I never was able to keep my white that clean though; I have no idea how you do it. I follow all the advice to keep it clean and I still end up screwing it up. Way to go man!

Decals now and I've started on the tile decals on the underside. The warbird decals are very big so I had to use a lid from a storage box! They are actually quite sturdy which is very helpful too. Daco medium and strong setting solution were used to get them to snuggle down nicely. Once done I started on the tail fin and the front of the nose adding the tamiya decals first. As you can see there are gaps in some places but there are spare tile decals I can use. In other areas I will have to mask and re spray some white and touch up the black as well. Loads still to add but that will be tomorrow.
