An odd assortment, 3D printed detail up pieces for the Millennium Falcon from those great guys on the Shapeways portal. They look nicely printed. live looked at Shapeways a few times but the postage has always put me off. Not to mention the dreaded import VAT if you’re caught

Not to mention the dreaded import VAT if you’re caught I'll be honest, the parts weren't that cheap but beyond my fettling skills by a long way especially considering the scale. Shipping was $11.99 which I consider par for the course and it slipped through HM Customs & Excise with no additional cost.

After getting fed with cutting plastic with a sodding ruler and knife , I decided it was time to get a little more modern .

M29 Weasel smphious vehicle. Designed during WW2, originally for work in snow but found to be useful in marshy ground. Used quite a bit for things like cable laying, medevac etc but with very limited payload (driver & 3pax). The French made relatively effective use of them in Indochina in the 1950s where the used them in combilation with LVTs in the rice paddies. I've also got an LVT in the stash so aiming to do both asa somewhat distorted "Dual" build next year.
