Well the KC-97 YouTube video put the hook in me. Great timing---the newly reissued KC-97L from Minicraft with J-47 jet pods and Tennessee/Texas ANG markings from Cartograf. Regards, Ian

Being a child of the Cold War, I always loved the -97 and all the SAC/ANG multi-engine birds. I had been waiting for this reissue for awhile and Minicraft did not disappoint!

Well I requested a refund Friday. Amazon sent an immediate response and refund. I re-ordered the item from a stateside dealer...Amazon Fullfillment handled it. I had this arrive a few minutes ago. Way to go Amazon.
When the refund was verified there's a link to the Shop so you can give feedback. Samurai Japan seems to have an issue with not sending out items. And since they are no longer listed as an active shop, I have to think they got booted. I also noticed he name has extra spaces so this may not be the first time they have been kicked off Amazon.
So now the Xmas Gift Card trio has all arrived...and lessons have been learned.

Thanks all.
Paul, I'm not sure what I'll do with the MaK's yet. Something space or something underwaterish.

Vlad, those rail cars look fantastic! I should look into getting some of them too. I love it!
Ian, that KC-97 looks great. I have a 1/72 scale C-97 myself.Someday I'll get it built.
Alex, I'm glad you got everything resolved. Looking forward to seeing more.

Finally the last of my Christmas presents came in. This is several sets of 1/72 scale resin tracks for a few different tanks. I got these to replace the tracks on several of my older models that lost them for whatever reason. I also got the AMX-30 tracks to replace the horrible ones on my French AMX-30 from Heller: That's it until my birthday....

Nice tracks Duke . I have heard a lot of good about these. How are they to work with, i.e. shape around the running gear?

Vlad, those rail cars look fantastic! I should look into getting some of them too. I love it! The UM kits if your not familiar are Ukranian I believe, a little rustic by some of today's modern tooling standards but with a little TLC they make some really nice pieces, and Jadar hobby sell the Part photo etch sets that work well with them. I have been in the process of putting together a BP-44 for many years so landing 2 together was an absolute score!! Well done on the OKB stuff, I tried ordering from them several years ago and after 6 months waiting for my order I requested a refund, so I hope they have gotten a little better in their service?

So after a conversation with a mate, he suggested I try something different............. ...challenge accepted.... ...... it got expensive Wanted to build a ZM kit for ages as they have received some glowing reviews, so courtesy of Evilbay But no seat belts in the kit But this was in the box, a set of canopy masks!!! And trying these for the first time, i've read good things of the orange line, and my paint seems to be drifting more and more away from acrylics

Nice tracks Duke . I have heard a lot of good about these. How are they to work with, i.e. shape around the running gear? They are excellent! You warm them up in either hot water or with a hair dryer and they bend well against the roadwheels and sprockets. OKB also adds sprockets to some of these sets since some sprockets are lacing in decent detail. That also insures, in those cases; that they fit snugly in the sprockets. I have heard of and even built a number of UM kits so I do know what you're dealing with there. You are correct, they do make great little models. Congrats on the score; I built the old Armaggeddon BP-44 in it's entirety some years back so I know how big a project you are tackling; although you are going the simpler and more easy route. I am considering doing a BP-42 myself now that so many of the train cars are becoming available for it. Thanks for the kudos on the OKB tracks. The owner at one time was having health issues that caused his business to suffer. He seems to have recovered well; I got my order in the six weeks he claimed it would take. So far yes, he has gotten better with his service. Good luck on that Phantom! You're going to enjoy that; it goes together very well according to several friends who've built it.
