This week I did manage to get some more work on my 1/35th scale Patton for this Tribute Build/AMPS Group Build, despite all the drawbacks and obstacles. First I masked off all the vision ports in the cupola with Tamiya tape and Silly Putty so I could paint it: Later when the airbrush came out, I shot this with the OD color: Next I shot the hull. Lower first: The the upper hull: They are attached, by the way.... Then I shot the turret: Here's a shot of everything together: After that I brush painted the mantlet cover with Field Drab. The DS plastic made it look gloss even after it dried: That is where I left off on that. I'll do something about that mantlet cover later. I have a few ideas for trying to make it look more 'fabric' and dull. Thanks for looking in, comments are always welcome.

It has been awhile, but here is the finished Patton tank that I did for my Tribute Build in commemoration for all the friends I lost: Carl aka Shellback, as well as:
Chad Lebo aka Zod Cliff aka New Mex and Rich Durham And one other friend that some former LEMurs may recognize: Ken Tinsley whom I've heard has not been doing very well. This tank is done as one from his old unit. And now here it is after all this time: my 1/35th scale Dragon M-48A3 Patton tank; the second only 1/35th scale tank I ever built. (My first was a Pz-38t done when I was eight) Yes, the gun does look misaligned in this last pic; it is an optical illusion as I've already checked it for true. And there it is; thank you for looking in, comments are welcome.

Well played Mark, that is a very good rendition of the ole M48 indeed Very fitting tribute indeed You should make a few more large scale vehicles, looks to me like you have a very good hand for them

Thank you Paul! I'm thrilled it looks good enough for a Master like you to approve. As for doing more; I am already wondering where I'm gonna display this as I'm so short of room. Heck, I have to keep my 1/72 scale armor in tubs because I have no room!
Thanks again Paul!
