Paul, the paint on the head won't be dry enough to get it done tomorrow. The clothing however can be finished with a little luck.

Today the tanker jacket was painted with oils. The two Humbrol enamel matt base coats were ideal to put the oils over. The oils for the colour are burnt umber, ultramarine blue, yellow ocre, emerald green, white. I add the different shades from deep to bright and then I removed as much paint as possible. The remaining coat is super thin so after an overnight drying I can finish the jacket tomorrow and paint the battle trousers. Pic tomorrow.

Thanks Boots ! Pants were done in oils but only one stage. The jacket was highlighted and for more contrast I applied extra dark shades. Much more to do but enjoying every second at the bench.

I am still stunned at how well you can make all these look. Man, if I had half your skill, I'd still be inadequate; your ability to bring all this to life is phenomenal.

You.are.too.kind.fellas ! Marco, Duke, Boots, PorcoRosso, thank you. Belt, ammo pouch, canteen and rifle (the barrel still needs a soft twist ) were coloured with oils but these aren't done yet. The buckleboots were brushes and the helmet was made a tad darker. I think this fella is now 90% done so it's almost time to start with the other GI.
The gloves look too green, I'll rework them.
