The verges were coloured in different shades with Tamiya acrylics and I brushed on Humbrol enamels here and there. Now I'll brushpaint the cobblestones.

I couldn't resist the call of the diorama so I went for oil washes to make the verges look a tad more wintery. I applied burnt umber, burnt sienna and ultramarine blue under the structures. The cobblestones were painted with diluted enamels. When the are dry U can brush in the sandbags pigments, which will make te difference.

The diorama base is ready for the figures and the truck. One more figure to go as two will complete the scene satisfactory. Initially I planned to sculpt/convert a third one.
