Ok, major change of plan, revised subject due to almost no free time. Only 78 parts so hopefully I can nail it in 6 months.

To be absolutely honest I thought you would do this . If I remember rightly Carl didn't scare from an automotive build either. A very good choice Mence, and I am really looking forward to this one

Great looking pickup. Have you decided on a colour yet? Not yet, have a couple of ideas but its highly dependant on what spare paint I have as I don't intend to buy any more. I will check what's available tomorrow. Thanks chaps for the kind words of support. Right, off to sand the numerous mould seams.

Chaps. Good old Revell, fits where it touches...and it doesn't touch in too many places. Bonnet is warped, 1.5mm too long and in places 1mm too wide, mould seams abound and the chassis appears to be warped as well. Took over 2 hours to get the cab cleaned up and the bonnet looking like it might fit...one day. On the upside, only 78 parts AND, I managed to find in my bits box a pre wired 8 banger distributor. Laters.

Well, it is a Foose build. So there's a lot of custom stuff to do. Hang in there, Buddy.

Awesome choice, Mence. And yes, Revell does have some great car/truck subjects but sometimes the cabs and chassis can be a little trying in the patience department. Regards, Ian

And so, notice the difference? Not really except the scuttle parts are fitted. Much filing and filling ensued and its come out ok but I must say filler is definitely your friend. Bit more work to do, more filling, rescribing etc. but its getting there, more of an issue is the roof panel as both that and the cab roof are warped too.
