Looking darn good there Paul. I've built it my self and i think it's a great kit. I think that ur idea for the exhausts will work as long as you don't sray with too much pressure.

As for the `zorst`s.......i would use a piece of card to shield it from the main tank/body spray first off, just get in underneath and around it leaving the bulk rust colour in situ, once ya got ya base colour as you want you can then feather the `zorst`s in afterwards in gradual build ups with the same colour..........i use this method quite a lot so you`ll have no probs fella..........just my tuppence worth

John, cheers mucker . I reckon the idea should work, the pigments are fixed solid with pigment fixer . That way I can spray over them, and then with a stiff brush scrub the paint back to get the flaking off paint look as on the real thing . Hopefully . Boots, I'll try that if my idea don't pull off . Pete, with all these eyes on it better blurdy work out .

There you go, Paul. That looks like an awesome kit. I've never done an AFV Club kit.

Jeff, thankee kindly matey . The AFV Club kits are darned fine if may say so, the plastic is a little soft but you soon get used to that . I say go get one mucker , and have fun . Right then I got fed up with creepin' around the Havens brains , and went and got some paint on my Cent instead . Now for the premier exhaust idea of mine , I scrubbed back the paint and I must say I do like this . Might need more pigment fixer for future jobs, guess I'll just have to remember that . Will let this dry off overnight In the morning I will get some more fixer or, a good matte cote to set the rest solid. ACW muckers

Crusty exhausts, very attractive mate, your method works well. For my Retired War Veteran I used rust colour oil paint, dabbed rust pigments in the wet surface and covered with Tamiya acrylics. With a toothpick and stiff brushes I rubbed the top layer open.

Jeff, many thanks mucker . Guy, that is mighty scrapyard looking beauty there sir . Cheers also fella . Not much today, just got the glossy on, and sorted the wheels . A word of warning about the wheels, don't use the rubber rings which get sandwiched between the wheel halves . They don't fit the axles on the suspension units and need drilling out . I also started the on the kit tracks, whatever you do don't use anything enamel based on these. If you do they will eventually melt . ACW muckers

My first posting was 6 Fd Wksp in Muenster, and the Cent ARV exhausts looked just like that, just a bit finer pigmentation, maybe? (And they told us we wouldn't see Cents in the field!!!!)
