I have tinkered with walls in various scales for many years. I built one or two for one of Linda's doll's houses and after my foray into pipes etc last summer I thought i would revisit and 'scratch the itch' so to speak. This is part of a doorway I started yesterday, made from blocks of plasterboard suitably aged. it measures 235mm across, height is yet to decided. I have in mind a wall which has been rendered and some of this has fallen off over time exposing the stonework. this is quite common on Pinterest among 'wall builders' but the idea appeals. The door will be wooden and suitably weathered........if i get that far . The shaping of the blocks is simple enough, it's getting the colour and weathering looking right for the stones, somewhat different than weathering a vehicle. Let's see if I can get an enthusiasm burst to continue longer than a couple of days...........must be an age thing . Enough waffle, here is a pic of the progress so far. As ever thanks for having a peek bill

Pete, Guy, Boots and Duke, thanks for that guys. I have completed the first part and need to work out where to go with this. It started as an experiment but now I want to keep going but boy! have I dug a hole!! What now? ? a window above the doorway, that's a good idea...............maybe not, sounds complicated!!! What about stairs and a corner?............ Oh dear.....maybe I should stop digging that hole!!! bill

Steve,Ian,Pete, Guy, Boots and Paul, sorry for the delay in getting back to you all. Many thanks for your kind comments!! Well I said I should stop digging but never been one to heed my own advice and I kept on going I have added a lot of small details to the original two walls and created another!!!. This represents a French garage frontage, hence the Simca sign with a old sliding loading door and bricked up loading bay access to loft. My wife says I now need to make a shop front front with an awning hinged out from the wall which will be displaying the shop owners name or perhaps trade!!!!! anyhow here's a pic of how far I have dug the hole..............i mean crater!!!! As ever thanks for dropping by!! bill
