S'ok.....that's close enuff to a review!!!

Lifecolour is my paint of choice and has been for some years now, as long as yer generous with the thinner 50:50 yer'll minimise the nozzle drying that Vlad refers to although if yer environment allows you can just as easily spray straight from the bottle.

Not much to say about this build Boots - yer usual top notchery on display....nice sensible additions too.....added interest but no need to get bogged down in too much unnecessary detail eh?

Ok here goes....

Started on the rear bed and crane arm etc, now this is quite a straight forward assembly and goes together so nicely it makes it a pleasure to build....the box sections on the rear deck just fell together on the corner joins/seams with no gaps whatsoever, however.......the kit supplies this piddly little bit of wire for the riggin`.......1) it`s far to weedy...and 2) the main crane boom has a chain and not a wire!!
Also......the kit didn`t include a very prominent part that is displayed on the box art and is also on the real thing........and it ain`t exactly a little part either!!!........it`s the line/cable guide that sits on top of the boom , so using some very powerful magnificationism i set about making a reasonable rendition of the real thing........i did try honest , it still needs the winding handle/gear wheel added yet plus a bit of bolt detail and it should look ok , the chain i had lying in the very sparce spares box........that was quite straight forward but getting the length right on the tiny links was fun , i wanted to leave just enough looseness to make it more realistic .........i still need to do more work on the attachment point on the top part of the chain yet......not `appy wiv it


First orfe some random pre-shade over the base coat and a little bit more done on the donk..........plenty to do on these yet tho 









Next up the mentioned load bed and boom 

The other little addition was to add some wood grain, they kit provides it as wood effect plank boxes but each plank is smooth.........so every part has been rough sand with a coarse sandpaper and the the point of a blade..........thats why they look like the do at the mo 

Also the missing cable guide and the chain that runs down the centre of the boom
