Guybro.....myself and the fellas on here know darn well you are one of the best figure painters by a country mile and besides......he ain`t finished yet....and...you are creating a scene with multiple subjects which requires a far ranging challenge than a solitary figure, i`ve done exactly the same and stumbled across a build the same as i`m doing at the time and it suddenly blows me away........and ya think........WTF!!!, a prime example for me was the sand bag Sherman......i thought i was doing ok until a found a similar one and deflation on mine set in.....as much as i tried i just could not get certain things to look like his.......turned out he was one of the top builders and i dare say he had all the items needed provided for him and probably built for mags and maybe even sponsored, unlike me and you that have to buy everything and go to work, the fella who painted the bottom one probably had all the hours in the day to just get everything spottus bolokus while me and you were grafting..........`comparison` is a word of the devil He looks superlicious brother Guy so keep it comin` mucker Thank you brotha B. Wise words for sure. Man the sandbagged Sherman was so impressive, no other modeler could have done that better, believe me ! And yes you're right we go out working our danglies off and get home tired as heck trying to find some leftover energy to brush or glue a bit while professional builders have the whole day gluing free kits with all the possible ditto after market stuff together, finishing with free paints and weathering products. Sounds like ranting but I don't mean to.

Fine by me......love a good rant Dunno if i could do it as a profession personally........timescale pressures, every build having to be perfect every time, requested builds that don`t suit you but have to be completed etc,etc.........and what happens if the `ol mojo decides to bugger off!! , think i`ll just be content with dabbin` a bit of glue here and there

This site, it's members to share my stuff with mean a lot to me, no magazine can ever beat that.

This diorama is finished, finally. I enjoyed it bigtime but nevertheless it became a rough ride particularly when I ferked up my RSO kit, the Italeri. Luckily I had the Dragon kit in the top shelf stash so I battled on surprisingly energetically. 🙄😁 The Add On Parts diorama base was a lovely product and time-saving as well but with three figures to paint I didn't make it before the deadline of Carl's remembrance build. Carl was a great builder, a talented painter and an even greater guy. Rest in piece dear Carl. A B\W image to close this thread with, more and colour photos in my Armorguy's 2020 thread. Thanks for your supportive and often humorous replies!!!
