Thanks mucker Added a few of me fav sandbags here and there too.......i left the Boyes on top of one with a little bit of pressure applied overnight so it would dry and leave a natural groove for a the weighted gun barrel to sit in......it wouldn`t float on top

Very kind of ya too say so Pete The good thing is.......i`ve still got till the end of June and i`m 2/3rds thru it........i can plod along at leisure now and enjoy Disappointed on my figure situation tho , i know Masterbox do a good set but it`s not what i`m after to be honest, the resin ones i have seen are resin ones and difficult to get here , i have found 3 that i would like to use for this and they are Darius ones.......they are expensive but the postage from Germany is a crippler!!!! , the 3 figs come to about 30 Euro (ish) which i can swallow that if need be but now were classed as non EU the postage is more than the figs!!!!............i ain`t paying nearly 70 Euros so she`ll stand alone i`m afraid. D-Day miniatures also do some but out of stock on the ones i want

Joe and Steve............sorry for late reply and thanks very much chaps Unfortunately modelling time is not at a premium at the mo..........but i`ve been getting the odd bit done here and there Made a start on the .50cal mount, had issues with stock supplies of round stock so i had to improvise with brass.........i looked at various mounts on vehicles and settled for the Browning AA design for a bit more interest rather than a straight pole....
I know the base isn`t equal all the way round but that don`t matter....
And some paint on it....
And a dry fit.....
And where we are now...........you`ll see why the shape of the base of the gun didn`t matter now.
Lots more small bit`s `n` pieces done as well.....i.e. another corner gun mount for the 0.30cal, some more stowage stuff........tripod for 0.50,netting etc
I`ve also painted the straps and dry brushed the front canvas rolls on the arches with Pale sand just to pick out detail etc.
Sorry....bit pic heavy but time ain`t my own at the mo so it`s as and when i`m afraid.
Cheers folks.

Boots, at least you are building! Nice work and don't worry about the time spent on the bench. Family comes first always. We can wait for updates; your work is always well worth it!

Super work on the gun mount mate, pity it's all covered in sandbags but they also look brilliant. Check your refs re the gun barrels on the .50's though mate as I think they are post war ones. WW2 .50's didn't have the flash suppressors fitted I think.
