Paul, Phil and Pete ........thankeee kindly my fine fellows. They certainly were well loaded........i may even raise the side walls with another wooden plank all round as was so often seen on these to get more luggage on and add a bit of protection ..........i know of one LRDG raid whereby they had to drive 2000 miles across the desert As for guns......well, they did like `em all gunned up
Even the jeeps went ready for a tear up
And the extra boards i mentioned...
Cheers chaps

Thanks fellas Paul........they are nice but being Miniaaaaargh everything is in two halves Ian and Marco.....they certainly went well prepared Ok........fixed up the first tripod for the Browning in the rear and guess what.............it don`t fit with the stowage in and the inner wheel arches foul the stand`s rear feet , i do have a smaller pod but it ain`t for the 50 cal it`s for the 30!!........even with the tail gate down the front leg is about half a mm away from falling orfe the back edge!!.........i may have to revert to a post mount for it if i can`t find another solution. The rear feet issue isn`t a problem as i was going to raise the pod on sandbags under each foot anyway as it sits quite low on it`s own.........it could also be a case of doing my own individual luggage etc rather than a fixed shape one to have to work round........that way i make the load fit the gun We`ll see

Agree with Pete on this, a post mount would look better.

Boots you'll find the .50s were mounted on posts fella, it's the only way to have them secure on the deck. Otherwise the buggers would fall off. The post attachment point is already on the deck too .

Been doin` more on the stowage this past coupla evenings..........the main block has had all the wooden crates done (tried a new method on these .........i`ve also part started a couple of the smaller parts and the other large piece needed a bit of trimmin` to get it to fit better........although it did fit initially it was a bit too snug for my likin` and i didn`t wanna force the sides out ..........next up will be the upper stowage stuff
I`m pleased with the result thus far and no enamels were harmed during this session..........all acrylics
